Shadab Khan Expected to Miss Asia Cup 2025

Pakistan’s vice-captain Shadab Khan is set to miss the Asia Cup 2025 after undergoing shoulder surgery in the UK. The injury, which had already ruled him out of recent series against Bangladesh and the West Indies, now requires a three-month recovery period. With the Asia Cup scheduled from September 9 to 28 in the UAE, Shadab’s absence is confirmed. The PCB has not yet announced a replacement or provided updates on his rehabilitation. The Asia Cup 2025, played in T20 format, will feature eight teams and serve as preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan’s campaign starts against Oman on September 12, followed by a high-stakes clash with India on September 14 in Dubai.
