An anti-terrorism court in Quetta has extended the physical remand of Sardar Sherbaz Satakzai and Bashir Ahmed by 10 more days in the shocking case of an alleged honour killing in the Dagari mines area. The victims, Bano Bibi Satakzai and Ehsan Samalani, were brutally murdered on June 4 following a jirga order, and the video of the incident went viral online. The suspects were initially remanded for two days but were presented again under tight security, after which the court approved a 10-day extension for further investigation. Balochistan police have arrested 15 people so far, and efforts are ongoing to capture the prime suspect, Jalal, the brother of the slain woman.
