Rashid Khan achieves record for fastest bowler with 150 T20I wickets

During the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan achieved a historic milestone by becoming the fastest bowler to reach 150 T20I wickets, accomplishing this remarkable feat in just 92 matches.

This achievement surpasses New Zealand’s Tim Southee, who reached the milestone in 118 matches. Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is on the verge of achieving the same milestone, needing just one more wicket.

Afghanistan celebrated a double victory as they advanced to the T20 World Cup semi-finals for the first time, defeating Bangladesh. Rashid Khan played a crucial role in this success, delivering an impressive performance with figures of 4 wickets for 23 runs.

In the upcoming semi-finals scheduled for June 27, Afghanistan will face South Africa, while England will take on India in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown.
