The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported severe human and infrastructural losses due to widespread flooding across Pakistan from June 26 to July 17. At least 178 people lost their lives and 491 were injured in rain-related incidents, with Punjab being the worst affected—recording 103 deaths, including 50 children, and 385 injuries. Other casualties include 38 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20 in Sindh, 16 in Balochistan, and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In the last 24 hours alone, 54 more people have died—22 of them children—while Punjab reported 227 new injuries. The floods have also caused major damage to homes, infrastructure, and livestock.
