Qazi Faez Isa Confirmed as Next Chief Justice of Pakistan, Swearing-in Ceremony Set for September 17th
Following the approval of President Arif Alvi, Qazi Faez Isa has been officially announced as the upcoming Chief Justice of Pakistan. Qazi Faez Isa, who assumed the role of a senior judge in the Supreme Court on September 5th, 2014, brings with him a wealth of experience. He has also served as a member of the Baluchistan and Sindh High Court Bar Association, as well as a life member of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
As per an announcement from the presidency, the current Chief Justice, Umer Ata Bandial, is set to reach his retirement age on September 16th. Consequently, in accordance with Article 179 of the Constitution, Qazi Faez Isa will assume the esteemed position on September 17th, 2023.
