PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, and Advocate Shoaib Shaheen were arrested by Islamabad police outside parliament on Monday night, according to a police official.
Islamabad police spokesperson Jawad Taqi confirmed the arrests.
In response, PTI criticized the government, calling Marwat’s arrest “a direct attack on democracy.” The party accused the police of following “illegal orders” and urged the IG of Islamabad to stop this action. PTI also condemned Gohar’s arrest, calling it a shameful moment for parliament and accusing the government of enforcing undeclared Martial Law.
