The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will pay an extra $100,000 to six top-tier foreign players participating in the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), according to the Press Trust of India (PTI). This additional payment comes from a special fund, which has now grown to $1 million. While the PSL draft set a maximum base salary of $200,000 per overseas player, stars like David Warner will receive $300,000, with $100,000 covered by the PCB from this fund. The PCB had previously decided to allocate $500,000 annually for elite players’ salaries when broadcast revenue exceeded Rs3 billion. Since last year’s funds were unused, the amount has doubled to $1 million, helping attract high-profile players to the league.
