Pakistani Passport Ranked Fourth Worst in the World

Pakistan’s passport remains one of the lowest-ranked globally, positioned at 102 in the latest Henley Passport Index. With only Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan rated lower, Pakistan’s passport is currently the fourth weakest for international travel. Factors contributing to this ranking include limited visa-free travel access, stringent visa policies, security-related restrictions, and diplomatic challenges for Pakistani passport holders.

As of 2024, a Pakistani passport allows visa-free access to just 33 countries, far fewer than passports from other similarly ranked nations. Pakistan has consistently placed near the bottom for almost five years, just above countries like Liberia, Somalia, Sudan, and Haiti.

In stark contrast, Singapore leads the Henley Passport Index, granting its citizens visa-free entry to 195 out of 227 global destinations. Other top-ranking passports include those of Japan, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with access to 192 countries.
