Pakistani national football team has announced their participation in the upcoming SAFF Cup, which is set to take place in India

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has received approval from the Indian government to host the Pakistani team for the upcoming South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup.

Both federations have confirmed the necessary clearances, and the AIFF has extended an official invitation to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), completing all required formalities.

Efforts are now underway to expedite the visa process through the Pakistani embassy in Islamabad. While the Pakistani Foreign Office has granted permission for the team to travel to Mauritius, a decision regarding their journey to India is still pending.

Pakistan’s national team, often referred to as the Men in Green, is slated to compete in Group A alongside Kuwait, India, and Nepal. Their first match is scheduled against India. The AIFF General Secretary, Shaji Prabhakaran, has previously reassured a secure and conducive environment for Pakistan’s participation in the SAFF Championship.
