Pakistan and Bangladesh have secured their spots in the final of the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, knocking out Sri Lanka and Nepal in the semifinals.
In the first semifinal, Pakistan showcased their dominance against Nepal. Nepal managed 94/7 in 20 overs, with Durga Datta top-scoring with 40 runs. Pakistan’s Matiullah was exceptional with the ball, taking three wickets for just five runs in four overs.
Chasing the target, Pakistan’s openers Kamran Akhtar and Babar Ali made it look effortless, reaching 95 without loss in just 5.3 overs. Kamran smashed an unbeaten 63 off 21 balls, setting a record with a fifty off just 14 balls.
The second semifinal saw a nail-biting contest between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh posted a formidable 244 in 20 overs, powered by Mohammad Salman’s 97 off 49 balls. Despite a spirited effort, Sri Lanka fell short, scoring 238 in their 20 overs. Salman was named player of the match for his stellar performance.
