Pakistan has to pay back 7300 billion rupees in loans, says Ahsan Iqbal

Ahsan Iqbal, a prominent member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has voiced criticism towards the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), citing the challenging economic conditions currently facing Pakistan. Addressing a gathering in Narowal, Iqbal underscored the pressing necessity to bolster the nation’s economy, emphasizing the daunting task of repaying existing loans amounting to Rs. 7300 billion.

Expressing concern during his speech, Iqbal cautioned against Pakistan’s heavy reliance on loans, remarking, “The entire nation is leaning on borrowed funds.” He further highlighted the imprudence of perpetual borrowing.
