Defence Minister Khawaja Asif firmly denied any Pakistani involvement in the deadly attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where 26 Indian tourists were killed in Pahalgam. Speaking to the media, Asif pointed to India’s growing internal unrest, citing ongoing insurgencies in regions like Nagaland, Chhattisgarh, and Manipur. He condemned the Indian government’s treatment of minorities, accusing the Hindutva regime of systemic oppression. Asif stressed that Pakistan opposes terrorism and civilian casualties in all forms. He argued that blaming Pakistan has become India’s go-to narrative while ignoring its own destabilizing actions in Balochistan and beyond.
