The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has added leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood to the squad for the first Test against England, taking place in Multan from October 7-11. The training camp will begin on October 1.
Zahid will join the camp, but the final squad will be trimmed to 15 players for the Test. Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Ali will remain as reserve players while continuing to play domestic matches to stay match-ready. The PCB stated that a 15-player squad is sufficient for the home series due to logistical reasons.
