Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah will travel with the team on Sunday for the tri-nation series in New Zealand after completing his isolation at home, the Pakistan Cricket Board said Thursday.
Naseem Shah, who has tested positive for COVID-19, was sent home for self-isolation by the PCB from the team hotel in Lahore.
On Sep 29, the PCB said the pacer contracted Coronavirus hours after the board confirmed that he had been diagnosed with pneumonia.
He was admitted to a hospital after his health deteriorated ahead of 5th T20I against England.
The PCB spokesperson said that Naseem Shah will follow all precautionary measures by isolating himself at home for the next two days.
The official said that Naseem Shah will not play the next two matches of the seven-match Twenty20I series against England.
The fast bowler will leave for New Zealand with the team on Sunday as his isolation period will come to an end on Saturday.
During this period, the PCB’s medical panel will continue evaluating Naseem Shah’s health.
