NADRA centers in Karachi will soon offer passport services

To improve convenience for residents in Karachi, the capital of Sindh and Pakistan’s largest city, the government has announced the opening of passport offices in two NADRA mega centres.

According to Express News, passport services will now be available at the NADRA Mega Centre at 5 Star Chowrangi and the NADRA Mega Centre at Siemens Chowrangi (SITE).

This move aims to reduce congestion at the central passport office by providing alternative locations for passport services.

The decision followed a recent visit by Director General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, to Karachi, where he discussed establishing passport offices at NADRA centres.

Sources indicate that passport services will also be introduced at about 11 NADRA mega centres across Pakistan, including those in Karachi.

Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made an unannounced visit to the 24/7 Passport Office at Awami Markaz and the NADRA Defence Mega Centre. He spoke with people applying for passports and ID cards, gathering feedback about their experiences. Citizens praised the system’s efficiency.

Minister Naqvi assured that issues causing delays in passport issuance were being resolved, and citizens would now receive their passports within the expected timeframe.
