Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a major Rs30 billion project to build a 25-kilometer signal-free corridor from Islamabad Expressway to Peshawar Road. The plan includes nine underpasses and three flyovers to completely remove traffic signals and ease congestion between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Once completed, the corridor is expected to significantly speed up daily travel for thousands of commuters in the twin cities.
