Police in Lahore’s Gulberg area have thwarted a shocking attempt to sell a five-month-old baby girl for Rs. 600,000, arresting three individuals, including the child’s parents. Law enforcement officials revealed that Ravi, one of the suspects, initially bought the infant from her parents for Rs. 300,000. He later teamed up with two accomplices, Gul Zaib and Nirmal, to sell the baby at double the price. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the suspects and arrested them, recovering two mobile phones and a vehicle used in the transaction. The baby has been safely placed under the care of the Child Protection Bureau for her safety and legal protection.
