Karachi Policeman Killed in Shootout With Rangers Sepoy Over Personal Dispute

A deadly shootout between a Sindh police constable and a Rangers officer in Karachi’s Site area left one cop dead and another injured, reportedly due to a personal grudge. Constable Waseem Akhtar, posted at Gulshan-e-Maymar Police Station, was killed, while Rangers sepoy Muhammad Noman of the 34 Wing sustained injuries. According to police officials, both men, dressed in plain clothes, engaged in a heated argument at Hub Bank Chowk that escalated into gunfire. Two 9mm pistols were recovered from the scene. Investigations are ongoing, with allegations linking the slain constable to a street crime incident.
