Karachi has been ranked among the world’s least liveable cities once again, placing 170th out of 173 cities in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Liveability Index 2025. The city scored poorly in healthcare, education, infrastructure, stability, and environment. In contrast, Copenhagen topped the list as the most liveable city, followed by Vienna and Zurich. The report also noted declining stability worldwide due to rising political tensions and security issues.
