A judicial magistrate sentenced Muhammad Shoaib to nine years in prison and fined him Rs 90,000 for sharing explicit photos and videos of a woman on social media, violating the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). Shoaib, previously convicted in 2017 for a similar offense, was found guilty of harassing the victim, a former fiancée, and damaging her reputation after their engagement ended. Separately, in Sahiwal, a newlywed bride was assaulted by three men, reportedly her husband’s friends.
