Karachi Electronics Dealers Return Rs2.2 Million Stolen Phones to CPLC

The Karachi Electronics Dealers Association handed over 145 stolen and snatched mobile phones worth Rs22 lakh to the CPLC, recovered with police support. Association President Muhammad Rizwan Irfan said another 150 devices will soon be transferred, adding that phones worth Rs260 million have already been recovered and returned to owners. Under strict SOPs, sellers must verify IMEI numbers and ID cards with CPLC before sales, ensuring stolen devices are seized. Irfan urged expanding this system beyond Karachi for wider recovery, while the Sindh Home Minister advised citizens to secure their phones against theft.
