The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a significant temperature rise for Karachi today, with the mercury expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius. The Met Office reports that sea breezes will temporarily stop, allowing dry and hot winds to dominate during the day.
However, officials stated that once the sea winds resume, the weather conditions should improve. Currently, Karachi is experiencing clear skies with a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and 46% humidity. Westerly winds are blowing at 14 kilometers per hour, providing slight relief from the rising heat.
The Met Office has urged residents to take precautionary measures to manage the soaring temperatures.
