A journalist from Peshawar was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in the Akbarpura area of Nowshera district on Sunday, according to police reports.
Anwar Zeb, in his FIR filed at the Akbarpura police station, recounted that he and his brother Hassan Zeb were traveling in a car when unknown motorcyclists opened fire on Hassan. Anwar Zeb managed to escape unharmed, but his brother succumbed to the attack on the spot.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, registering a case against unidentified individuals.
