Recently, Malik Riaz, the proprietor of Bahria Town, in collaboration with his son Ali Riaz and Country Head Mr. Shahid Qureshi, joined forces with Zafar Abbas, the General Secretary of JDC, to inaugurate a initiative known as the “Fuel Assistance Program” in major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi.
The primary objective of this program is to provide aid to regular wage earners who are grappling with financial hardships brought on by the soaring fuel prices.
In the program’s initial phase, they distributed free petrol valued at PKR 1 Million in prominent cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar.
Today, in Karachi, they continued their efforts by extending support to “Food panda delivery riders,” ensuring that their motorcycles were fueled to capacity, thereby facilitating their work.
The substantial surge in fuel prices has significantly impacted the daily lives of numerous Pakistanis, particularly those with fixed incomes who are striving to provide for their families. The collaboration between Bahria Town and JDC aims to assist these communities by alleviating their fuel-related financial burdens.
