On Tuesday, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation for Israel’s actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon and the killing of its leaders. Alarms sounded across Israel, with explosions heard in Jerusalem and the Jordan River Valley as residents took cover. Missiles were intercepted, and Israeli media reported up to 100 missiles launched. After about an hour, the military declared the threat over. Reports suggested that between 150 and 200 missiles were fired. This was Iran’s second attack on Israel, following an April missile strike in response to an Israeli airstrike on its Damascus consulate.
