India’s Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the new ICC Chairman

Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has been elected as the new Chair of the International Cricket Council (ICC) without any opposition. He will succeed Greg Barclay, the current ICC Chair, who announced on August 20 that he would not seek a third term and plans to step down in November. Jay Shah will officially take over on December 1, marking an important leadership change in international cricket and reflecting the community’s confidence in his ability to guide the ICC.
