Asif Bashir, a volunteer from Peshawar, Pakistan, has received high praise from Indian ministers for his bravery during the Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.
Bashir, a database supervisor at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, demonstrated remarkable heroism during a severe heatwave. He saved around 26 pilgrims, including 17 Indians, by providing water, administering life-saving medicine, and carrying unconscious individuals for several kilometers.
His selfless actions were formally recognized by Indian authorities in Saudi Arabia. Bashir’s bravery has earned him respect and admiration across borders, highlighting his dedication and compassion during a challenging time.
