Initial forensic report on Wazirabad attack presented in PTI Lahore meet

Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister on Information Umar Sarfraz Cheema has presented the initial forensic report of the Wazirabad incident in a meeting of the PTI’s senior leadership in Lahore, according to a statement from the party.

The statement said the leadership was briefed that more than one assailant had targeted PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the assassination attempt.

It added that the weapons and bullet casings used were recovered from the site as well and sent for forensic analysis, along with Imran’s container.

PTI lawmakers from across the country will approach the Supreme Court and request it to register a first information report of the Wazirabad assassination attempt on party chief Imran Khan and nominate the three individuals he has held responsible.

A statement from the PTI issued today said the development came about during a meeting of the party’s senior leadership in Lahore.

PTI’s Lahore meet calls for assemblies to be dissolved for immediate elections

A meeting of the PTI’s senior leadership in Lahore has called for the dissolution of assemblies to pave the way for immediate elections in all four provinces, according to a statement issued by the party.

It said that the party only had one basic demand — elections should be held as soon as possible.

The meeting also discussed the party’s long march to Islamabad and said convoys from across the country would reach Rawalpindi by November’s third week.
