Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has authorized senior party members Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar to initiate negotiations with the establishment, as confirmed by Aleema Khan on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail after a meeting with her brother, Aleema shared his message, calling for a nationwide rally on November 24 to demonstrate solidarity.
“November 24 is a crucial day,” Aleema quoted Imran Khan. “We must mobilize to reclaim our right to vote, just as we did earlier this year to stand for our ideology.”
Imran Khan expressed that the Constitution was violated through vote manipulation. “PTI became an ideological party on February 8. In 1970, we had ideological elections, but Zia-ul-Haq’s introduction of non-party elections in 1985 ended that tradition. On February 8, our freedom, party tickets, and even the party itself were taken from us. No election like the one on February 8 has happened since anywhere in the world.”
Aleema also conveyed that Imran Khan instructed PTI supporters to stay peaceful, emphasizing, “We are not here to cause chaos. We are peacefully fighting for our ideological rights on November 24.”
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar met Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. Sources also revealed a high-level meeting between PTI and the ruling coalition delegations in Islamabad to discuss the upcoming march.
