The International Cricket Council (ICC) has instructed Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav to avoid political statements after his remarks following India’s Asia Cup win against Pakistan led to an official complaint from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Yadav had dedicated the victory to the families of Pahalgam terror attack victims and praised the armed forces, prompting the ICC to summon him for a hearing. The governing body has now made it clear that Yadav is strictly prohibited from making political commentary on or off the field in the future.
