Haris Rauf achieves career-best ICC ODI ranking

Following his remarkable performance in the initial ODI match against Afghanistan, Imam-ul-Haq has ascended to the third position in the ICC ODI rankings. He showcased his prowess by amassing 61 runs from 94 deliveries in the game.

As for the rankings, Babar Azam continues to lead the pack with an impressive 880 rating points, closely followed by South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who boasts 777 rating points. Imam-ul-Haq, with a total of 752 rating points, is now inching towards the second position, thanks to his 17th half-century in ODI cricket. Unfortunately, Fakhar Zaman, who managed only two runs in the same match, has slipped to the fifth position.

India’s Shubman Gill holds the fourth spot with 743 rating points. Meanwhile, another Pakistani player, Mohammad Rizwan, has made a notable jump, ascending three positions to secure the 58th position in the list of batters, thanks to his 21-run contribution against Afghanistan.

In the same thrilling match, fast bowler Haris Rauf delivered an outstanding performance, achieving a career-best five-wicket haul. His exceptional figures of 5-18 in 6.2 overs played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s massive 142-run triumph over Afghanistan.

Haris Rauf’s remarkable achievement has propelled him up seven spots to the 36th position in the ODI bowler rankings, and his current rating points stand at 522, marking a personal best. This performance surpasses his previous best of 4-65, achieved against England in 2021.
