Landmark Defense Agreement: Biden and Modi Pave the Way for Enhanced US-India Collaboration
In a significant move aimed at countering China’s military expansion, President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have reached a crucial defense deal involving the transfer of US drones and fighter jet engines to India. The visit also witnessed agreements in other domains, including Micron Technology’s establishment of a semiconductor testing and packaging unit in Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi’s home state. Additionally, the US has committed to streamlining the visa process for skilled Indian workers. Notably, India and NASA have pledged to collaborate on a joint mission to the International Space Station in 2024, further enhancing their partnership.
