In 2025, a total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will perform Haj, as announced by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, while presenting the Haj Policy 2025 in Islamabad.
Haj, a key pillar of Islam, is an annual pilgrimage for millions of Muslims worldwide. Pakistan has one of the largest Haj quotas from Saudi Arabia.
The new policy divides the Haj quota equally between government and private Haj schemes, with 89,605 seats allocated to each. Additionally, 5,000 seats will be reserved for sponsorship under the government scheme, and 30,000 seats will go to private Haj tour operators for sponsorship.
