Government aims to attract major global brands, such as Walmart and Target, to Pakistan through the Make-in-Pakistan initiative

The Pakistani government is actively urging prominent international brands to establish outlets in the country, providing them with office space for their commercial operations.

As a component of the ‘Make in Pakistan’ initiative, global brands and retailers engaging in sourcing activities with local businesses will benefit from the Export Development Fund (EDF) covering their initial six months of expenses. This strategic move is designed to attract foreign companies, with a particular emphasis on those from the United States, in the context of the ongoing trade tensions between the US and China.

Executives from the Pakistani textile and apparel industry are strategizing roadshows to captivate foreign industries during international exhibitions and events.
