Former Adiala jail official arrested for helping Imran Khan

The former deputy superintendent of Punjab prisons, who was transferred from Central Jail Adiala in June, has been arrested by law enforcement on charges of acting as a messenger for the PTI founder, sources revealed on Wednesday. This arrest is seen as significant, occurring just two days after the ISPR announced the arrest of retired Lt Gen Faiz Hameed, former ISI head, for violating the Army Act. A Field General Court Martial process has been initiated against him. Punjab’s Inspector General of Prisons and local police have not commented on the arrest.
