Cristiano Ronaldo has shattered the record for the most goals scored in a single season of the Saudi Pro League. He accomplished this feat by netting his 34th and 35th goals during Al Nassr’s final match of the season.

Following the game, the 39-year-old Portuguese forward took to Twitter, stating, “I don’t chase records, records chase me,” showcasing his confidence and ongoing success in setting new benchmarks.

Ronaldo, formerly of Real Madrid and Manchester United, scored his initial goal during stoppage time in the first half and added a header in the 69th minute. His stellar performance contributed to Al Nassr’s 4-2 victory over Al Ittihad in their home stadium on Monday.

Before Ronaldo, the record for most goals in a single season was held by Moroccan player Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-19 season. Ronaldo’s achievement surpasses this previous record, highlighting his exceptional talent and consistency.

Despite this remarkable win, Al Nassr had already secured second place in the league standings, finishing the season 14 points behind the champions, Al Hilal.

Ronaldo’s record-breaking season has been a significant highlight, showcasing his enduring skill and determination on the field, inspiring fans and players worldwide.
