Flash Floods and Heavy Rain Claim 64 Lives Across Pakistan in One Week

Flash floods and intense rains have killed 64 people and injured 117 across Pakistan in the past week, the NDMA reported on Wednesday. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was hit the hardest, with 23 deaths, including 10 children—14 of whom were swept away in Swat Valley. In Punjab, 21 people, among them 11 children, died as homes collapsed due to flooding. Sindh reported 15 fatalities, while five were confirmed in Balochistan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned of continued heavy rain and flash flood risks in multiple regions until at least Saturday.
