The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has confirmed that Arshad Nadeem’s Olympic prize money from the 2024 Paris Olympics will be tax-free. Nadeem made history by winning Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal in 40 years and breaking a 118-year-old record. FBR representative Bakhtiar Muhammad clarified that, unlike lottery winnings, Olympic awards are exempt from taxes.
