Eid celebrations turned tragic as reckless driving and overspeeding led to multiple fatal road accidents across the country, claiming at least 20 lives and injuring many others.
In Sargodha, a speeding rickshaw collided with a motorcycle on Salamwali Road, killing an 8-year-old girl and another person while injuring five others. In Lahore, a motorcycle crashed into an electric pole at Jinnah Underpass, resulting in the deaths of two young men. A separate car-motorcycle collision in Renala Khurd claimed three lives, including two women.
Additionally, separate motorcycle accidents in Qambar Shahdadkot, Mirpur Sakro, and Hafizabad resulted in eight more fatalities. Authorities urge drivers to follow traffic rules to prevent such devastating incidents.
