The Auditor General of Pakistan has uncovered financial irregularities exceeding Rs. 6 billion in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2023–24 fiscal year. The audit reveals questionable hiring practices, including the irregular appointment of a Director Media, and unjustified spending on security meals. It also highlights non-transparent contract awards and major financial losses, with Rs. 439 million lost in media rights and Rs. 5.3 billion in unpaid sponsorships. These findings raise serious concerns over PCB’s financial management and accountability.
