Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is on an official visit to the United States, meeting senior American political and military leaders and engaging with the Pakistani diaspora. In Tampa, he attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing US CENTCOM Commander General Michael E. Kurilla and welcomed new CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper. Field Marshal Munir lauded General Kurilla’s role in strengthening Pakistan–US military ties and expressed confidence in continuing mutual cooperation with Admiral Cooper to address shared security challenges.
