On Wednesday, the Punjabi education authorities announced that the ninth-class board exams scheduled for May 11 and 12 have been postponed. All exams across the province, which are administered by nine different boards, have been postponed, and a new date for the exams will be announced later, according to a statement from the Punjab Higher Education Department (PHED).
Furthermore, the PHED has declared that all colleges and universities in the province will remain closed on May 11 and 12, with the exception of medical schools, which will continue to operate.
Due to the evolving situation in the country following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the British Council has also postponed all Cambridge International, Pearson, University of London, ACCA, and IELTS tests scheduled throughout Pakistan on May 11.
It is worth noting that the PHED had previously postponed the exams scheduled for the day before, given the nationwide turmoil following Khan’s arrest.
