A public holiday has been declared in Karachi on July 11th

On the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi (R.A), Karachiites will enjoy a public holiday on July 11th, 2023. The Urs is celebrated from the 20th to the 22nd of Dhu Al-Hijjah every year.

The public holiday has been officially declared by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). As per the notification, all offices falling under the jurisdiction of the KMC will remain closed throughout the annual Urs.

The event will be inaugurated by Kamran Khan Tessori, the Sindh Governor, and will span three days, from July 11th to July 13th. The Urs festivities will feature a Naat program and a Qawwali session on the opening and closing days.
