The Karachi Zoo has formed a committee of nine members to provide care for the ailing elephant named Noor Jehan. The committee is tasked with presenting proposals and recommendations to ensure the elephant’s health and wellbeing. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) expressed its appreciation for all efforts being made to care for the animal. The KMC is also working closely with Four Paws specialists who are directing Noor Jehan’s treatment through video link. Last week, the Four Paws team led by Dr. Amir Khalil was invited by the KMC to operate on the elephant and suggested medications and measures for her recovery, which were implemented accordingly. Additionally, KMC is also taking measures to care for the health of other animals in the zoo and is making all possible efforts to improve their wellbeing.
