Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has proposed that future peace talks between Pakistan and India could be hosted by Saudi Arabia or the UAE, with the U.S. acting as a key mediator. Speaking in Islamabad, he clarified that Pakistan did not seek a ceasefire during the recent cross-border tensions, noting both sides agreed through DGMOs to return to pre-conflict positions. He confirmed that any talks would include top officials, including the National Security Adviser and ISI chief. Shehbaz also alleged Israeli support for India during the conflict but praised Pakistan’s strong military response led by Army Chief Gen Asim Munir.
