Pakistan Grants 6,500+ Visas to Indian Pilgrims for Baisakhi Festival

The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has granted over 6,500 visas to Indian Sikh pilgrims for the Baisakhi festival in 2025. These visas will enable pilgrims to travel to Pakistan from April 10 to April 19 to participate in Baisakhi celebrations and visit key religious sites like Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib, and Kartarpur Sahib. Baisakhi is a significant festival for Sikhs, marking the start of their New Year, and is celebrated with devotion and joy. Many Sikh pilgrims from India visit Pakistan annually to honor their sacred sites. Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires in New Delhi, Saad Ahmad Warraich, emphasized that the large number of visas reflects Pakistan’s dedication to promoting religious harmony and strengthening ties between the two nations, highlighting the country’s visa policy to foster cultural and religious connections.
