Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab explained that dumpers and water tankers continue to pass through the city due to the lack of alternative routes. He emphasized that repairing the Northern Bypass would prevent heavy traffic from entering the city and benefit the entire country. Wahab also suggested allowing heavy traffic on the Lyari Expressway to reduce congestion and proposed connecting Shahrah-e-Bhutto with Port Qasim to support industrialists and improve logistics.
