Imam-ul-Haq has officially joined Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad, replacing Fakhar Zaman, who was sidelined due to an oblique injury. The ICC approved the PCB’s request for a replacement, with the Event Technical Committee, including Wasim Khan, Usman Wahlah, Sarah Edgar, and Sean Pollock, granting the decision.
The 29-year-old Imam, with 72 ODIs to his name, was brought in after Fakhar sustained the injury while fielding against New Zealand. In his absence, Saud Shakeel opened the innings, while Fakhar moved down to bat at number four.
