Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has dismissed any possibility of negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following violent protests.
During a press conference at Islamabad’s D-Chowk after dispersing PTI protesters, Naqvi alleged, “This entire chaos is being orchestrated by a woman,” referring to Bushra Bibi. He also claimed that Afghan nationals were participating in the protests and accused the rioters of seeking casualties to escalate tensions.
Naqvi assured that those arrested at D-Chowk would eventually be granted bail.
Earlier, the PTI convoy moved through G-11 and G-9, where violent clashes erupted between PTI supporters and the police. Tear gas was used by both sides, while PTI workers retaliated by pelting stones at law enforcement officials.
