Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Salman Akram Raja has alleged that the government of Imran Khan was removed in April 2022 as part of an international conspiracy, claiming that the party’s position has been validated after the emergence of the so-called cipher reported by Drop Site News.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Asad Qaiser and Taimur Saleem Jhagra, he said the political and constitutional situation in Pakistan is worsening with increasing instability.
He also criticised the detention of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, alleging that meetings are not being allowed despite court orders and that judicial decisions are not being implemented.
Salman Akram Raja further claimed that Imran Khan is being kept in solitary confinement and raised concerns about his health, while also alleging difficulties faced by lawyers and incidents of enforced disappearances.
He said efforts are being made to restrict public voting rights and weaken the political system, adding that the country’s economy is under pressure due to rising inflation and fuel prices.
He warned that if judicial and parliamentary systems fail to function properly, decisions may shift to the streets, while also expressing concerns over provincial rights and possible changes to the NFC Award.
